Central Coast Marine Plan

The Central Coast Marine Plan is the result of a cooperative planning process, led by the Province of British Columbia and the Heiltsuk, Kitasoo/Xai’Xais, Nuxalk and Wuikinuxv Nations, called the Marine Planning Partnership (MaPP). The purpose of the plan is to identify acceptable marine uses that support sustainable communities while protecting and, where necessary, restoring marine ecosystems. The plan brings together science, Aboriginal traditional knowledge, and local knowledge.
